This unique program brings together leaders from across the Parkinson's ecosystem to provide a 360-degree perspective on the journey from scientific discovery to patient impact. We'll begin with an overview of Building 69 and its role in supporting the development and production of next-generation cell therapies aimed at addressing Parkinson's disease. Representatives from the Parkinson's Foundation will then provide insight into the disease itself, including its challenges, prevalence, and impact on patients and families. The evening will conclude with a patient perspective, highlighting the real-world importance of continued research, development, and investment in innovative treatment approaches.

Through this conversation, attendees will gain a deeper understanding of how facility development, scientific advancement, advocacy, and patient experiences intersect to drive meaningful progress in healthcare.

PRESENTERS

Ingo Stecher is a Venture Manager at Bayer Berkeley with more than 20 years of leadership experience in capital project delivery, engineering, and construction across the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. He served as Capital Expenditure Project Director for the Cell Culture Technology Center and Cell Therapy Launch Facility projects, with full accountability for the end-to-end execution and delivery of Bayer’s advanced cell therapy production facility in Berkeley.

Scott Probst is a Cell and Gene Therapy Implementation Lead in Berkeley with nearly 30 years of process engineering experience at Bayer, mostly in biopharmaceuticals.  For the past seven years, Scott has been working on development and commercialization of an allogeneic cell therapy for Parkinson’s Disease with Bayer subsidiary and partner, BlueRock Therapeutics.

We'll also be joined by Steve and Lisa Fischlin, California Board Members, Parkinson's Foundation who will speak from the perspective of the patient.
